The Slow Oscillation painstakingly lays line on at the rate of 80+ coils per upward and downward traverse of the rotor. Yes 80+ - it’s not a misprint! Even when watching it in action it’s breathtakingly difficult to comprehend. The body is small and perfectly formed and packed with state of the art Shimano S-System reel technology, including a cold forged direct drive main gear, 6 ball bearings plus a roller bearing for a 10 ball bearing equivalent performance. A feature for the Technium XT and XTA is the awesome S-System, this system improves line pay off - Super Slow Oscillation, this winds mainline on almost side by side in the slowest helical wrap ever produced on a reel.  The line lay has to be seen to be believed, this improved line lay drastically reduces the line drag from the beginning to the end of a cast.  The result is a major increase in yardage with reduced effort.
