A Flick Of The Tale is the title for Dave Lane’s new book which follows on from his first book, An Obsession With Carp, and covers all of his big-fish exploits since first setting foot on The Mere in 1997, right up to the capture of the incredible Black Mirror, Dave’s fifth UK carp over 50lb, in 2004.

Chapters include Dave’s time on the record-holding Conningbrook, the entire story of his adventures on Sonning, St Ives and the capture of The Fat Lady and much more. Along the way are insights into the characters that Dave has met along the way and plenty of entertaining stories in a humorous style that only Dave Lane can deliver.

This book has been five years in the making, with all photographs printed in full colour and offers a detailed look into today’s big-carp scene.
