Since its introduction this has become a hugely popular cult hooklink
material. Its black colouring makes this highly versatile hooklink perfectly
suited for blending in with the dead weed and decaying leaves found across
the bottom of most lakes.
The neutral density, black Dyneema, braided inner
is extremely strong and abrasion resistant. The 25lb version is also
recognised as a superb cat fishing hooklink.
Like all Sufix products it has high knot strength and abrasion resistance.
The coating on all the Sufix skins has been developed to be user friendly,
easy to strip and knot, whilst retaining the necessary strength and
stiffness to avoid tangles and tie advanced rigs.

Stiff Silt retains the super tough inner from Black Silt but features a
thicker, heavier outer coating that gives it much greater stiffness. Its
dull black or camo colours ensure it blends perfectly into almost any kind
of lake bed, that are usually scattered with debris such a weed and
detritus. A very specialised hooklink, used for making ultra efficient rigs,
Stiff Silt needs to be warmed to straighten it so it retains its shape
(either by running your fingers up and down it or by steaming it) but when
finished even heavy hookbaits are 'kicked out' effectively when the rig
settles after casting.
The outer is slightly trickier to strip due to its increased diameter, but
the benefits of using Stiff Silt are so invaluable that no modern angler can
ignore it.
